Maisie Williams Confesses “No one will be satisfied when Game Of Thrones Ends”

Series star admits she doesn't think anyone will be satisfied when the show finally ends

Game of Thrones fans will put up with a lot: Losing beloved characters in bloodbaths, the short-lived death of John Snow, then waiting for almost two years between seasons with fewer episodes in each new season. Which leads us to address the Wilding in the room, “What if the finale isn’t what we expected?”

Maisie Williams, who has plays Arya Stark, told Sky News she’s not totally sure. “I don’t think anyone is going to be satisfied [when it ends]. I don’t think anyone wants it to end, but I’m really proud of this final season,” she said. Williams, now 21 years old, has had the show in her life for a long time, and said: “It’s going to be really weird when it’s done, and every day it’s a step closer to it not being a part of my life anymore.”

But she’s not going to farewell it with much ceremony, claiming she’d probably hang out with her flatmate: “He’s going to say ‘Well done,’ and I’m going to go ‘Thanks, bedtime.'”

Game of Thrones cast and crew have remained tight-lipped about the finale—circulating fake scenes, encryption of scripts, and other clandestine measures put in place by the show’s producers—apart from Williams’ BFF Sophie Turner, who admitted that she’s told a few of her friends what happens at the end of the cult HBO series. “I’m so bad at keeping secrets,” She told W Magazine. I don’t think people tell me things anymore because they know that I can’t keep them. I’ve already told the ending of Game of Thrones to a few people.”

Those who don’t have Miss Turner to ask will just have to wait. The eighth season of Game of Thrones premieres on April 14, 2019 and the ultimate fate of the characters will not be revealed until six weeks later when the finale airs.
